Abstract

This study investigates the factors influencing the online purchasing of biodegradable products in Côte d'Ivoire. Data were collected online (WhatsApp) and examined using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results reveal that economic, political, technological, and social factors significantly influence the online buying of biodegradable products in Côte d'Ivoire. Specifically, the results show that the cost of adopting new technology and the green product price are the most influential, followed by government supports and subsidies. The findings hint at the importance of governments in West Africa investing in producing and selling green products through online portals.
